As you may or may not know we love gin here at the Greyfriar and as with everything we do, we love to share our love!!
Simon was part of the team that created Stovell’s wild crafted gin (voted number 8 in the top 10 gins by the Independent) and has also worked closely with both Sipsmiths and the new kids on the block Surendran & Bownes. This has of course meant that he has drunk gallons of the stuff, “for research purposes” as he is oft quoted and likes nothing better than wax lyrical about the juniper juice.
Now, if you’re into gin and would like to learn more and obviously taste more, Simon is offering a bespoke Gin tasting experience. Whether it’s a one on one session at the bar or a party of 22 in our private dining room, you will be led through the different styles of gin and how to taste them, the history of gin, as well as tonic and most importantly getting stuck in to a good old G&T or 2 or 3 and if you fancy it a cocktail.
